Teacher responsible for Primary/Secondary Transition in PE
Part time (0.4 FTE) (Mondays and Tuesdays)
M1 - UPS3
For September 2019 we are looking for a teacher to work with our five feeder primary schools in the Local Learning Community (LLC) and with The King's School to support the development of high quality teaching and learning in PE in early years, KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of primary/secondary liaison work helping staff to ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated PE experience for students in primary school in accordance with the aims of the school. Furthermore, the successful candidate will support the development of the PE teaching practice of primary colleagues. The post involves planning an annual programme of both competitive and non-competitive extension and enrichment sporting and physical activity opportunities for local feeder primary schools, complementing the local School Games offer. We wish to appoint someone who works well in a team, is flexible, adaptable and can work under pressure without losing their all-important sense of humour. The successful candidate will work alongside the School Games Organiser, primary Headteachers and the Head of PE, as part of the PE department at The King’s school.
Please contact Ms Pickering for further details or see our website and apply online. The closing date is midday, 17th June with a view to interview the following week. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of students so all staff are enhanced DBS checked.
