The King’s School with 1100 students is an outstanding 11-18 comprehensive school with excellent facilities, supportive parents, ambitious students and an extremely strong reputation for success across the curriculum and especially Physical Education. A commitment to the philosophy of ‘Achievement for All’ and a desire to work in an exciting, dynamic, creative and supportive way are essential for all staff at The King’s School.

We are looking to appoint a person to manage cover on a short term and long term basis to ensure that the impact on teaching and learning is minimised by staff absence. The successful candidate will need to be able to react immediately, in a calm manner, to a situation that requires cover and also plan cover weeks in advance and advise the Deputy Headteacher (DHT) of potential issues that arise as a result. An integral part of the role involves maintaining accurate personnel records including absence and training, as well as organising staff professional development as requested. The successful candidate will be dealing with sensitive information so discretion and confidentiality is essential.

This exciting post requires a good level of literacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to work calmly and under pressure in a fast-paced and supportive environment. It is essential that you can work under your own initiative as well as part of a wider team of experienced support staff.

Please contact Ms Pickering for further details or see our website and apply online.  The closing date is midday, 20th August with a view to interview on the 12th September.  We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of students so all staff are enhanced DBS checked.
